Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how CFAR uses any personal information that we collect about you.

What we collect:

We collect the basic personal information that you give us. This includes information that you send to us in order to receive cfarnews and, if you register with one of CFAR’s programmes, the information that you submit when you make your application. If you are a registrant on CFAR’s clinical training programme, we collect the data that you supply to us each year relevant to your status as a trainee. If you hold any of CFAR’s membership categories, we collect the data that you submit to us and update periodically.

Why we need this

We need to know your email or postal address in order to provide you with information about CFAR and its activities, and sometimes to communicate with you about other issues such as fundraising which are linked to CFAR. We will not collect personal data from you that we don’t need in order to do this.

What we do with this information

The personal data that you send us is processed by CFAR staff and held securely. It is not shared with any other organisation, unless there is a legal obligation to do so or an obligation relating to a professional matter (for example, in the event of a complaint).

You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe from cfarnews at any point, and we will no longer contact you. We will delete your data if requested in this context. If, however, you have been registered for or applied to any of CFAR’s programmes, we retain basic information as this may be needed at a later date (for example, in the event of a complaint or to verify a claim made about involvement with CFAR).

How long we keep this information

We will keep data related to applications and registrations on CFAR’s programmes for a time period deemed necessary by CFAR.

Changes to this policy

We keep our privacy policy under review. Any updates to this policy will be placed on this web page.

Your rights

You may contact us to find out what information we hold on you. If you believe that any information that we hold on you is incorrect you can request that we correct or delete this information. You can contact us by writing to us at:
