CFAR Certificate Clinical Studies

CFAR Certificate in Clinical Studies

This course is designed for practitioners working both outside and within the UK who are only able to undertake further clinical studies online. It covers essentials of Lacanian psychoanalytic practice, offering introductions to the main themes and technical issues in psychoanalytic work. It is not the equivalent of a clinical training, and is aimed at those who are already trained in either a different psychodynamic tradition or a Lacanian one and who wish to learn more about Lacanian work. The last five sessions of the course will give the opportunity for participants to present clinical work. Seminars are held online on Saturdays, at UK time 3.30-5.30pm, running from September until early July. The course is taught by CFAR members with a wide experience of teaching and clinical practice.

A bibliography of relevant reading for the seminars is provided on registration.

Completion of the course awards participants CFAR’s Certificate in Clinical Studies, which is equivalent to 44 hours of CPD. Non-attendance of three or more seminars without prior agreement means that the Certificate cannot be provided.
